BAHEAL PHARM’s E-commerce Logistics Center Launched Formally in Support of BAHEAL in Establishing a New Commercial Medicine Distribution Pattern
A ceremony for launching BAHEAL PHARM’s E-commerce Logistics Center was held at BAHEAL PHARM’s E-commerce Logistics Park of Sino-German Ecopark in Qingdao West Coast New Area on July 9, 2018. Characterized by intelligence, mechanization, visualization and lean production, among others, the center will witness efforts to establish a modern e-commerce logistic pattern of medicine. Xu Haijie, Vice Director of Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone (Sino-German Ecopark) Management Committee; Tian Weiping, head of the Corporate Service Department; Fu Gang, Chairman of BAHEAL Pharmaceutical Group (BPG); Vice President Zhu Xiaowei of BAHEAL Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited; Director Hao Yu of BPG Asset Management Department; Vice President Xu Bingran of BAHEAL Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited; GM Duan Wei of Crossborder and New Retail Business Department; and Director Zhu Chengjun of the Warehousing and Transportation Department were present at the ceremony.
BAHEAL PHARM’s E-commerce Logistics center covers an area of nearly 42,933 m2, with a construction area of 48,600 m2 inside the park, of which over 30,000 m2 is for professional warehouses as an important part of BAHEAL’s cloud-based warehousing and logistics layout. The center employs multi-temperature zone management model to meet the needs of different products for different storage environments. An integrated set of intelligent logistic sorting system is available at the center which boasts a capacity for over 70,000 orders on a daily basis. A concept of mechanically aided operation is imbedded, with the moving of 90% goods to be fulfilled through assistance of mechanical operation. Two suites of WMS management systems are also used for visualization of process management and traceable operation results and errors.
Xu Haijie, Vice Director of Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone (Sino-German Ecopark) Management Committee, said at the event that, as the state has put forward important instructions for the development of blue medicine warehouses in Shandong and a full-range efforts are being made in Shandong for the replacement of old growth drivers with new ones, BAHEAL PHARM shoulders the arduous task to modernize the logistic development of the medical industry in Qingdao as it is a major business engaged in medical innovation, to which the municipality attaches great importance. BAHEAL PHARM’s Logistics Center will grow into the largest modern pharmaceutical logistics and delivery service center on Shandong Peninsula and will undoubtedly promote the development of the life and health industry in the park.
BPG Chairman Fu Gang said that BAHEAL has evolved from a brand-based enterprise to a platform provider after years of efforts and reflection. As a leading player in the creation of new medicine distribution platforms in China, BAHEAL Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited under BPG is working to build up a brand-new commercial distribution model throughout China, during the course of which, modern logistics centers are important backup platforms. The Logistics Center will mainly reflect the characteristics of intelligence, mechanization, visualization and lean production, among others. The launch of the E-commerce Logistics Center helps refine the functional layout of BAHEAL PHARM’s logistics and the center, after it is launched, will integrate resources of the health industry and rebuild China’s medicine e-commerce logistics model based on information technology and intelligent equipment under the standard of platform-based services. The center will strictly observe the standards of the new GSP and, by conducting safe operation and keeping innovating, provide safeguard and support for BAHEAL’s strategies, working continuously to improve its competitiveness in the industry.
